sān bā
古地名。巴郡、巴东、巴西的合称。相当今四川嘉陵江和綦江流域以东的大部地区。多泛指四川。古时巴郡今四川省巴县以东至忠县、巴东今云阳、奉节等县、巴西今阆中县地的合称。
建安六年，鱼复蹇胤白璋争巴名，璋乃改永宁为巴郡，以固陵为巴东，徙羲为巴西太守，是为三巴。
