释义	三海 sān hǎi在北京城内西北。辽始引玉泉山水，汇为池沼；金称西华潭，元称太液池。池上跨长桥，桥北为北海，桥南为中海和南海，合称三海。参阅明陶宗仪《辍耕录．万岁山》、清高士奇《金鳌退食笔记》卷上。在北平市旧皇城西苑内，原名「西华潭」，由玉泉山之水潴成．中有金鳖玉蝀桥、瀛台诸胜景，桥北称为「北海」，桥南称为「中海」，瀛台以南称为「南海」，合称为「三海」。也称为「太液池」。
