zhōng bù dì fāng
位于中间的区域。特指我国介于秦岭、淮河和南岭之间的区域，包括江苏、浙江、安徽、江西、湖北、湖南及四川七省。长江贯穿全区，又是我国沿海及远洋航线辐辏的地区，故航运极盛。铁路交通亦极发达。全区物产丰富而繁多，多种农矿产量皆居全国重要地位。工商鼎盛，著名城市包括上海、南京、汉口、重庆、成都等。
