释义	先師 xiān shī前辈老师。指已故的老师。称孔子。称逝去的师长。凡始立学者，必释奠于先圣先师，及行事，必以币。《礼记．文王世子》今也，小国师大国，而耻受命焉，是犹弟子而耻受命于先师也。《孟子．离娄上》万代之师孔子。隋文帝时谥孔子为「先师尼父」，后世尊称孔子为「先师」。先师有遗训，忧道不忧贫。《晋．陶渊明〈癸卯岁始春怀古田舍〉诗二首之二》也称为「至圣先师」。尊称能佐先圣成德者。魏正始至隋大业年间，皆尊孔子为先圣，颜回为先师。唐初曾改尊周公为先圣，以孔子为先师。先师
