亦称内人。唐代应征入宫内宜春院的教坊歌妓。她们常在皇帝面前表演﹐故称。唐代称进入宜春院的妓女为内人或前头人，因其在君王的面前而得名。
妓女入宜春院，谓之内人，亦曰前头人，常在上前也。
