释义	午朝门 wǔ cháo mén正式名称为午门，是明南京故宫的正南门，因此门居中向阳，位当子午，故名午门。现位于南京午朝门公园内，午门前为御道街，是明代南京故宫南北中轴线御街和御道。午门为三孔门券两边有双阕建筑，上部木构仪凤楼现已经存，石柱础保存完好，两侧双阙于民国十三年1924年营造明故宫机场遭到拆除，汉白玉须弥座和三孔券门均保存完好。2006年5月，南京午朝门所在内的明故宫遗址列为全国重点文物保护单位，2015年2月，国家文物局展开午门广场环境整治等保护工程。午朝門
