释义	和事天子 hé shì tiān zǐ唐中宗时，监察御史崔琬劾宗楚客、纪处讷受贿，致生边患。楚客不服，自陈忠鲠。中宗不问，命琬与楚客、处讷结为兄弟，以和解之。世人谓中宗为和事天子。见《新唐书．宗楚客传》、《资治通鉴．唐中宗景龙三年》。唐代中宗因不辨是非对错，只一味的敷衍和稀泥，故时人称之为「和事天子」。至是，楚客更愤怒作色，自陈忠鲠，为琬所诬。上竟不穷问，命琬与楚客结为兄弟以和解之，时人谓之『和事天子』。《资治通鉴．卷二○九．唐纪二十五．中宗景龙三年》
