释义	孝廉方正 xiào lián fāng zhèng清代特诏举行的制科之一。自雍正时起，新帝嗣位，诏直省府、州、县、卫各举孝廉方正，赐六品章服，备召用。乾隆以后，定荐举后送吏部考察，授以知县等官及教职。清代荐拔人才科目之一。由地方官特别推选保举，送礼部考试后任用。
