明潭抽蓄水力發電工程
míng tán chōu xù shuǐ lì fā diàn gōng chéng
台湾重大建设之一。于民国七十六年九月十三日动工，预计于八十三年底全部竣工。工程主要以日月潭为上池，车埕车站附近的水里溪谷为下池，利用上、下池间约三百八十公尺的平均落差，作为抽蓄水力发电。由于抽蓄机组具有大型水力机组的特性，机组容量大，反应速度快，稳定性及安全性高，可随时调节电力系统的供应量，稳定电压及频率，提高供电品质。
