释义	曾國荃 zēng guó quán1824-1890清末湘軍將領。湖南湘鄉白楊坪今屬雙峯人。曾國藩弟。曾率湘軍赴江西吉安鎮壓太平軍，所部稱吉字營。後任江蘇布政使、浙江巡撫。1864年攻陷天京今南京，縱兵焚掠，血洗全城。調任湖北巡撫，因對捻軍作戰失利去職。後又任陝西、山西巡撫，陝甘總督，兩江總督。
