chǔ lǎo
《漢書．兩龔傳》載，王莽篡漢，龔勝恥事二姓，堅不應莽徵，絕食死，有老父來吊，哭甚哀，既而曰:'嗟虖!薰以香自燒，膏以明自銷。龔生竟夭天年，非吾徒也。'遂趨而出，莫知其誰。此老父隱居彭城，後因稱之楚老，列爲八賢之一，常引爲典。泛指楚地父老。宋王安石自稱。
