释义	洋香瓜 yáng xiāng guā泛稱由西洋先進園藝科學改良成功後，引進臺灣的甜瓜。園藝學界，以瓜果含有甜味或香氣者，統稱為「甜瓜」。原產地多在印度，今已推廣至世界各地。引進臺灣的甜瓜屬改良品種，故新品種時有所見，通常僅以其形狀，分為表皮帶有網紋的網紋洋香瓜、光滑無紋路的光面洋香瓜，以及橄欖球形狀稍帶網紋的新世紀洋香瓜三種。
