晉張華《博物志》卷七:太公爲灌壇令，武王夢婦人當道夜哭，問之，曰:'吾是東海神女，嫁於西海神童。今灌壇令當道，廢我行。我行必有大風雨，而太公有德，吾不敢以暴風雨過，是毀君德。'武王明日召太公，三日三夜，果有疾風暴雨從太公邑外過。原爲地名。後用以代指有德行的地方官吏。
