释义	燒王船 shāo wáng chuán一种民间祭祀。为先民渡海来台，从福建一带带来的习俗。在建醮后，将载有王爷神像或其他器物的王船，放流海上或焚烧，借以驱除瘟疫灾害，造福乡里。依各地风俗不同，有三年一醮、五年一醮或十二年一醮。
