释义	燕衣 yàn yī古天子宴群臣时所著之服。《礼记．王制》:夏后氏收而祭，燕衣而养老……周人冕而祭，玄衣而养老。郑玄注:凡养老之服，皆其时与群臣燕之服。孔颖达疏:以《经》云，夏后氏燕衣而养老，周人玄衣而养老，周人燕用玄衣，故知养老燕群臣之服也。又:庶羞不逾牲，燕衣不逾祭服，寝不逾庙。一说，燕衣为古天子退朝闲居时所著之服。见孙希旦集解。
