古代“嘗新”禮俗。以新穫果品進獻天子、宗廟。後亦指向統治者進獻財物。語本
孝惠帝曾春出遊離宮，叔孫生曰：‘古者有春嘗果，今櫻桃孰可獻，願陛下出，因取櫻桃獻宗廟。’
