释义	碑學 bēi xué①研究、考证碑刻的时代、体制、源流、文字和拓本真伪的学问。②崇尚碑刻的书法派别。与“帖学”相对。起源于清嘉庆、道光间，阮元倡南北书派论，包世臣继起誉扬北碑，崇碑之风遂盛，因此有人称碑学为北派，帖学为南派。崇尚碑刻的书派，与帖学相对称。碑学原本相当发达，至唐，由于太宗偏爱王羲之、献之的帖书，一度使碑学趋于衰微，直至清嘉庆、道光以后，阮元倡为南北书派论，碑学始得以复兴。研究考订碑刻的时代、体制、真伪、内容、鉴赏等问题的学问。如赵明诚的《金石录》、郭宗昌的《金石史》等碑学
