释义	至聖 zhì shèng指道德智能最高的人。舊時亦以專指孔子。謂極聖明；超脫凡俗。唯天下至聖，為能聰明睿知，足以有臨也。《禮記．中庸》陛下以至聖之德，龍興登庸欽明尚古。《文選．揚雄．劇秦美新》對孔子的尊稱。明世宗嘉靖九年西元1530，定孔子之稱為「至聖先師」。見《續文獻通考．卷四八．祠祭褒贈先聖先師錄後》。
