释义	莞簟 wǎn diàn蒲席与竹席。《诗．小雅．斯干》:下莞上簟，乃安斯寝。郑玄笺:莞，小蒲之席也。竹苇曰簟。《礼记．礼器》:莞簟之安，而稾鞂之设。唐王维《苦热》诗:莞簟不可近，絺绤再三濯。古时以蒲席铺垫于竹席下，较安适，因以莞簟为安乐之意。《诗．小雅．斯干》有下莞上簟，乃安斯寝、乃生男子……载弄之璋及乃生女子……载弄之瓦诸语，后因以莞簟为生儿育女之吉兆。
