释义	菩提迦耶 pú tí jiā yē地名。位於印度比哈爾邦伽耶縣，相傳釋迦牟尼在此菩提樹下悟道。西元前三世紀阿育王於該處立大塔以資紀念。現存五十二公尺高的大塔，乃中古世紀改建者。十九世紀經英國考古學家發現後，重新成為佛教朝山的重點，今已有泰國、緬甸、斯里蘭卡、西藏、不丹、尼泊爾、中國、日本等地佛教徒蓋多所寺院於此。也稱為「菩提道場」、「佛陀伽耶」。
