释义	虞芮 yú ruì周初二國名。相傳兩國有人曾因爭地興訟﹐到周求西伯姬昌平斷。《詩．大典．綿》:虞芮質厥成，文王蹶厥生。《史記．周本紀》:於是虞芮之人有獄不能決，乃如周。入界，耕者皆讓畔，民俗皆讓長。虞芮之人未見西伯，皆慚，相謂曰:'吾所爭，周人所恥，何往爲，祗取辱耳。'遂還，俱讓而去。後因以虞芮指能謙讓息訟者。
