释义	鞭石 biān shí《艺文类聚》卷七九引晋伏琛《三齐略记》:始皇作石桥，欲过海观日出处。于时有神人，能驱石下海，城阳一山石，尽起立。嶷嶷东倾，状似相随而去。云石去不速，神人辄鞭之﹐尽流血，石莫不悉赤，至今犹尔。后遂以鞭石为神助的典故。相传难留城今湖北宜昌山上有一石洞，洞中有两块大石，俗名阴阳石。阴石常湿，阳石常燥。每遇水旱不调，百姓便进洞祈福。天旱则鞭打阴石得雨，雨多则鞭打阳石天晴。事见北魏郦道元《水经注．夷水》。后作为乞求晴雨和洽的典故。
